Overall Purpose of the Job
To assist in the provision of an efficient and effective cleaning service in accordance with contractual obligations and company policy and standards. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations on the ground. Be responsible for the Cleaning operatives. Liaise closely and professionally with the Client/Client representatives in dealing with day-to-day operational matters.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure the smooth running of the site adhering to the Site Service Level Agreement and Service Specification.
2. Supervise and investigate the quality and standard of cleaning services provided at client sites and assist the Cleaning Manager.
3. Assist the Cleaning Manager in supervising the cleaning staff, including workload allocation, monitoring progress and performance, determining work priorities, with attention to productivity and quality control.
4. Assist in conducting site cleaning audits.
5. Control and monitor the use of cleaning materials and equipment, arranging repairs or renewal, and make recommendations to the Cleaning Manager.
6. Carry out stock checks on equipment and materials as required.
7. Organise induction and on-the-job training for cleaning staff according to company practices.
8. Participate in recruitment of cleaning staff in collaboration with the Cleaning Manager.
9. Arrange relief or holiday cover for cleaning staff as needed.
10. Authorize, allocate, and record staff absences in conjunction with the Cleaning Manager.
11. Perform ad hoc duties and other tasks as assigned by the Cleaning Manager.
