Position Description:
The Supervisor will be a core part of a team in a high-growth area of SEI. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and reviewing the accounting books and records of the Funds, including the calculation of the Net Asset Value, preparation of financial statements, and regulatory reporting. They will also forge strong internal relationships within their team and with clients.
What you'll do:
1. Ensure that the review of the Fund's NAV is accurate and delivered on a timely basis.
2. Responsible for the review of expense schedules, including calculations, capital activity calculations, and fund fee calculations.
3. Ensure established controls are maintained and followed during the NAV production cycle.
4. Participate and lead in the preparation and readiness for new Fund launches within your team.
5. Serve as the initial point of contact for clients on fund accounting matters pertaining to NAV production.
6. Build strong relationships within your team and with your client through a conscientious approach to query management and problem resolution.
7. Build strong relationships with all SEI teams and third-party stakeholders in the NAV Production cycle.
8. Develop product knowledge through exposure to complex fund structures and financial instruments.
9. Supervise, train, coach, and mentor analysts on core tasks, systems processing/reporting, and procedures.
10. Participate in department initiatives and group projects as appropriate.
11. Provide input and feedback regarding employees' ongoing performance, development, and appraisals.
What you bring to the table:
1. 4+ years of experience in Fund operations, with experience in Alternative Funds. Some experience in private markets is preferable.
2. Ability to work effectively in a team, build positive relationships, take responsibility, and assist peers and managers.
3. ACCA qualification is preferable but not essential.
4. Effective and confident communication, both written and oral.
5. Experience analyzing the Trial Balance, general ledger entries, and basic management and performance fee calculations.
6. Experience working on funds with closed-ended structures.
7. Experience reviewing Limited Partnership Agreements, OM's, and fee agreements.
8. Third-level qualification in Finance or Business is desirable.
