Waterford Role Summary: Dawn Meats is one of Europe's leading beef and lamb processing companies with locations across Ireland, UK, and continental Europe employing over 8,000 employees. We are looking for a Graduate Electrical Project Engineer to work as part of the wider Engineering team. The succesful candidate will support electrical and automation-related projects across Dawn Meats' Group. This role offers hands-on exposure to industrial electrical systems, building services, production line upgrades, and site-based engineering projects, while developing strong project engineering fundamentals. Responsibilities As part of the wider Engineering team, the Electrical Graduate Engineer will be involved in: Assisting in the design, implementation, commissioning, and handover of electrical and electrical services projects Supporting multi-disciplinary engineering projects including production line upgrades, utilities, and building services Coordinating electrical elements of projects across multiple production sites for the duration of project lifecycles Applying company project management procedures and SOPs to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Assisting with the preparation of User Requirement Specifications (URS), tender documentation, and technical evaluations Supporting contractor management and site supervision during installation and commissioning phases Participating in verification, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems to site teams Supporting the development and tracking of project budgets and timelines Providing technical electrical support to production, maintenance, and site engineering teams Contributing to the Engineering department's continuous improvement initiatives and energy-efficiency projects Qualifications The successful candidate will have: A Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering A strong interest in industrial electrical systems, automation, and project engineering An understanding of electrical distribution systems, control panels, motors, drives, and instrumentation (desirable) Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with MS Project is an advantage Awareness of AutoCAD or similar electrical design software A working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills A proactive approach and willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment INDLP To be considered for this role you will be redirected to and must complete the application process on our careers page.
