The successful candidate must be recognised as the renowned expert in their field externally and internally and able to influence at senior levels internally and withCommission for Regulation of Utilities, Government Departments, State Agenciesand atSenior Managementlevels in customers who are developingMulti Million Euro Projects.The TeamThe Engineering & Asset Management is responsible for undertaking four key roles;Asset Management, Technical Authority, Onshore EngineeringandOffshore Engineering.The team is responsible for setting the technical engineering policies and standards to be used forTransmission Infrastructure, Monitoring Complianceduring design and construction and for ensuring asset integrity and ensuring uninterrupted power system functionality.TheEngineering and Asset Managementis one of the areas which facilitates that role through the development oftechnical standardsandfunctional specificationsfor all plant to be connected to the transmission system and the development of new and innovative technologies and methodologies.In addition, these areas are responsible for ensuring that company requirements are incorporated inProject DesignandConstructionwhether the works are carried out.About you/Successful candidates will have:Chartered Electrical Engineeringqualification to honours degree level or equivalent qualification.Membership of applicable industry body for exampleEngineers Ireland, IET, CIGREor equivalentTypically, 10 + yearsrelevant post-qualification experience.Excellent technical knowledge inHigh Voltage Transmission Designwith strong knowledge of transmission technology for example withHV Cables, Substations, orOHL)including new and emergingtechnologies.Some experience in either theSpecification, Feasibility, Design, ConstructionorcommissioningofHV transmission equipmentfrom110 kVto400 kVExperience ofSite Inspections, Witnessing TestingandCommissioningof transmission equipment.Ability to lead and influence others to move towards a common vision or goal and to work collaboratively with and through others.Strong understanding of the requirements of stakeholders and industry for the transmission system and associated developments.Full drivers licence.Benefits Package: Bonus 0-12%, 25 Annual Leave Days + 2 Company Days, Max pension contribution11% employerv 8% employee), Flexible start times 08:00 -10:00 each day & 16:00 finish.
