Spring Night Calving Operator – Seasonal
About the Role
Join our team to work on a progressive dairy farm this spring We're looking for a night calving operator to care for cows and new-born calves during peak season. This is a hands-on, seasonal role with competitive pay and a supportive team.
Hours: Approx. 10 pm–7 am
Contract: Seasonal (~8 weeks)
Pay: €14.15–€16.00/hr DOE
Your Responsibilities
* Assist cows during calving and care for new-born calves.
* Feed, tag, and move calves safely.
* Maintain clean bedding and pens.
* Monitor animal health and report concerns.
* Communicate with day staff at handover.
* Operate machinery where trained.
Who We're Looking For
* Experience in dairy farming, calving, or livestock care.
* Confident with new-born calves and animal welfare practices.
* Reliable, responsible, and able to work night shifts (approx. 10 pm–7 am).
* Full clean driving licence and travel to Ballacolla.
