Our client is a global financial services firm with its European headquarters in Dublin. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
This role will focus on financial reporting, operational accounting, and supporting corporate controllership activities, making it ideal for a technically strong accountant looking to develop within a multinational financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounting and financial analysis across multiple systems, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for individual entities and assist with consolidated group reporting.
* Month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, expense analysis, and variance commentary.
* Audit preparation and coordination, working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
* Assist with equity and partnership accounting, including management fee and carried interest calculations across multiple entities.
* Respond to routine and ad-hoc queries from internal stakeholders, providing clear and timely financial information.
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy, controls, and efficiency.
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support financial controls and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Undergraduate degree plus ACA / ACCA / CPA qualification (or equivalent).
* 3–5 years PQE, ideally within financial services, professional services, or a multinational environment.
* Solid understanding of GAAP and ideally working with multi-entity structures.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders.
* Strong Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint); ERP system exposure (e.g. SAP) is advantageous.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Well-organised, proactive, and adaptable, with good problem-solving skills.
