This is a full-time, strategic, technical role within our design services.You will collaborate with the Director of Engineering, other Discipline Technical Directors, and Heads of Services to ensure efficient and consistent delivery of design services across all 20 design offices. You will contribute to the company's performance improvements, safe asset delivery, and fostering a healthy, motivated workforce.This senior appointment reports to the Director of Engineering and is responsible for leadership, governance, troubleshooting, and defining working practices in Electrical Engineering Design.We offer a flexible, hybrid working environment with the option to work from home up to two days per week. The role can be based in Ireland, the UK, Poland, or Belgium.Interested applicants should submit their CV.Responsibilities1.1 PM Group Strategy for Electrical EngineeringDevelop a group-wide strategy to forecast and plan electrical engineering capabilities and capacity.Support business units in strengthening departments, identifying competency gaps, and training needs.Develop SME areas within electrical engineering, such as sustainability.Align and develop cross-functional competencies with architecture and other engineering disciplines.Define design activities and deliverables for core sectors to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.1.2 Digitalisation of Business Processes / Ways of WorkingDefine and implement strategies for continuous improvement in electrical engineering.Enhance the Electrical Engineering Service Delivery Platform within our Quality Management System.Create standardized group-wide working practices considering local codes and industry norms.Integrate digital and sector-specific approaches into design processes.1.3 Governance of Design DeliverySupport sales proposals and establish project watch lists based on design challenge and risk.Influence early design stages and chair discipline-specific design reviews.Review safety documents and contribute to go/no-go decisions for high-risk projects.1.4 TroubleshootingAct as a first responder for critical electrical engineering issues across the group.Engage with senior internal and client teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.Act as technical sponsor for corrective measures and keep management updated.QualificationsPassion for electrical engineering and a focus on asset safety.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.15+ years of industry experience, with at least 10 at senior management level.Good knowledge of Pharma, Med Tech, and Data Center industries.Membership in a recognized engineering body (e.g., Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers).Strong technical, commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate across functions.Self-starter and decisive decision-maker.Fluent in English.Why PM Group?Our benefits include flexible working, employee share schemes, pension, bonuses, educational support, and more.
