Process Improvement Specialist

A key role exists for a Process Engineer within the Packaging Department, reporting to the area Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and implement significant process improvements to existing production lines to enhance productivity.
* Support the Project Team in respect to New Product Introduction and set-up of processes to meet required timelines.
* Provide daily support to the Business Unit and identify cost-justified process and equipment improvements.
The successful candidate will possess a 3rd level qualification in an Engineering discipline and preferably experience in a technical role within a high-volume manufacturing environment with Pharmaceuticals experience an advantage.
Responsibilities include:
* Utilising Lean Six Sigma tools and data to drive continuous improvement.
* Managing and communicating progress on Improvement Projects.
* Improving manufacturing efficiency by analysing workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
Troubleshooting equipment and process issues and implementing improvements under change control is also essential. The candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office Programs and have strong problem-solving abilities able to identify facts, consider alternative approaches and evaluate the most appropriate action.
Lean systems and problem solving experience are highly desirable, along with a Lean Six Sigma Qualification. A proactive approach to work, excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team are essential.
Requirements
* 3rd level qualification in an Engineering discipline.
* Experience working in a validated environment with strong discipline with regard to change control.
* Proven problem-solving abilities.
