We are currently inviting applications for the role of Team Leader within a residential respite service supporting adults with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Health difficulties within a respite service setting. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Residential Services Manager in the day-to-day management and delivery of a high-quality, HIQA-compliant service, while leading and supporting a dedicated staff team.
As Team Leader, you will:
1. Support the Residential Services Manager in the delivery of a high-quality, person-centred service
2. Participate in the day-to-day operations of the respite service
3. Supervise, support and motivate staff teams
4. Develop and manage staff rotas, across day, evening, sleep-in and waking night shifts
5. Ensure the implementation and review of individual support and care plans
6. Liaise with families, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
7. Maintain compliance with HIQA regulations, organisational policies and best practice
8. Oversee health, safety, hygiene and good housekeeping standards
9. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting is maintained
Requirements
10. Minimum level 7 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent recognised qualification)
11. Hold a full, clean driving licence for a minimum of 2 years
12. Experience working in HIQA-registered residential or respite services
13. Proven experience in staff supervision and team leadership in a similar setting
14. Strong experience in person-centred planning and care plan implementation
15. Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
16. Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
17. Flexibility in working hours and willingness to attend mandatory training
