Senior Systems AdministratorInitial 6 Months ContractDublin - 3 Days On SiteMy client is seeking a highly capableSenior Systems Administratorto ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our clients organisation IT infrastructure and core systems on an initial 6 month contract with view for extension and/or permanency.The Job:Manage and maintain the full IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, Azure, and Intune environments.Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance through proactive monitoring, patch management, and preventive maintenance using remote management tools.Oversee storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard business continuity.Deliver responsive end-user support, resolving technical issues and service requests in line with defined SLAs.Manage the helpdesk queue, prioritising incidents and escalating when required while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.Apply ITIL-based best practices to incident, change, and problem management.Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.Test and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans on a regular basis.Stay current with emerging technologies, recommending improvements to increase system resilience and operational efficiency.Have You:Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.5+ years' experience in IT system administration or IT management within a dynamic business environment.Strong expertise across Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Sharepoint Azure, and Intune.Knowledge of networking, firewalls, and endpoint security management.Microsoft or VMware professional certifications preferred.ITIL certification or practical experience applying ITIL principles.This role has the potential to convert to permanency after an initial 3-6 month contract*Candidates must have the right to work and reside In Ireland.
