Global Automation EngineerYou will be responsible to develop, commission and upgrade automated systems in line with engineering standards and support engineering projects throughout the division globally.What will you be doing?· Design, develop, and upgrade automated systems in line with engineering standards globally.· Provide engineering and controls support to panel plants globally.· Commission equipment being installed in production lines globally.· Recommend and support value added improvement initiatives where appropriate.· To work closely with Production, Quality, Safety to ensure that plant priorities are met.· Form part of the wider controls team to help implement the yearly global projects roadmap.· Lead more Junior Automation Engineers through the course of projects and aid in their Development· Form part of the wider controls team to help implement the yearly global projects roadmap.· Assist the Global automation manager where applicable in designing and implementing the new electrical and controls standards.· Maintain safe work practices at all times· Continuously update Documentation and SOPs to ensure projects run efficiently.· Ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001 accreditations and all other certifications currently in place, including CE marking.o Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures;o Participate in training as required;· Ensure site adherence to and operation of the Compliance Management System responsibilities within ISO 37301 Clause 5 sections 5.3.4., the company handbook and Code of Conduct.This list is not exhaustive and other duties maybe required that are within the capabilities of the post holder.Skills· Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 3 years' experience in a similar environment.· In-depth Knowledge of PLC's - ideally Siemens S7 300/400/TIA would be beneficial with extensive programming and diagnosis experience in a manufacturing environment.**· Working Knowledge of motion control systems - Ideally Siemens Simotion/Sinamics drive or similar motion systems.· In-depth Knowledge of SCADA and Line reporting systems experience - ideally Siemens WINCC.· Experience installing, fault finding on and configuring automation networks such as Industrial Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet etc.· Experience in the design and installation of electrical control systems.**
