OverviewOpportunity for a Mechanical Lead to join the Life Science team in Cork.Reporting to the Regional Director/Regional MEP Lead, the MEP Lead is responsible for delivering MEP systems across large and smaller projects, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and meet safety, quality, and energy objectives.It is essential to guide, lead, and motivate teams in applying our MEP management systems to deliver fully integrated, commissioned systems that meet design and statutory requirements, leading to seamless handovers and client satisfaction.John Sisk & Son has built a reputation for excellence as a family-owned international construction company, offering trust, certainty, and value to clients while leading change.ResponsibilitiesSupport the tendering and awarding of MEP packages according to project strategies and objectives.Manage Temporary Electrical requirements, including load and energy assessments, in line with Management System Guidelines.Take responsibility for MEP integration and project delivery within the overall project team.Ensure MEP elements are managed according to Building Services Management Procedures and Project Execution Plans (PEP).Align and integrate Building Services Installation and Commissioning programmes with the main Construction Programme.Engage with utility companies early to understand and communicate infrastructural and interface requirements.Ensure co-ordination and approval of Builders Works Drawings by MEP Contractors to meet programme requirements.ExperienceOver 6 years of managing large-scale, complex MEP projects.Understanding of the MEP supply chain and market dynamics.Operational involvement across all project phases, including estimating, pre-construction, installation, commissioning, and handover.Technical, interpersonal, and commercial skills to successfully deliver MEP projects.Experience with handover plans, live energies/arc flash training, and BIM fundamentals.QualificationsDegree in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.Membership of a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE, CIOB, IEI, or equivalent.Health & Safety Management Training (IO or equivalent).Knowledge of planning and programming.Additional InformationCompetitive salary with annual increases.26 days holiday, with option to purchase 5 more.Employer pension scheme.Competitive mileage rate and travel expenses.Flexible and remote working options.Enhanced parental leave and professional development opportunities.Our people are central to our success.
