My client, a market-leading consultancy firm, is seeking a professional and technically proficient Health & Safety Consultant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to work across a diverse client base, providing expert advice, on-site assessments, and tailored compliance solutions.
About the Role
As a Health & Safety Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting contractual service visits, delivering high-quality reports and documentation, and providing ongoing advisory support to clients. The role requires a confident communicator who can build strong relationships, deliver practical and commercially sound guidance, and represent the company with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out Health & Safety site visits and audits in line with contractual and SLA requirements.
* Prepare detailed reports and documentation following each visit.
* Advise and guide clients on compliance, best practice, and use of Health & Safety management systems.
* Liaise with the HSA, Fire Authorities, and other enforcing bodies on behalf of clients when required.
* Support clients with incident investigations and crisis management.
* Manage workload effectively, ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards.
* Attend meetings, training, and development sessions to enhance professional capability.
About You
* Strong technical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
* Proven ability to deliver practical, commercially viable solutions.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
* Chartered or Certified Member of IOSH (or working towards this).
* Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
