A Day in the Life
Senior Financial Analyst in GOSC Controllership responsible for Parkmore site.
In our Finance department at Medtronic, we focus on providing timely, relevant, and accurate information to help strategically drive the business forward. A key member of the Global Operations and Supply Chain (GOSC) Controllership team, we work to ensure our corporate reporting, compliance, and statutory requirements are achieved, and our fiduciary responsibilities are met.
A Day in The Life Of:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager GOSC Controllership, this position requires the ability to work independently and flexibility to be involved in multiple areas of the Finance function. Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Compiling and analyzing financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and verify accuracy.
2. Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements, as well as consolidating financial statements and other accounting schedules and reports.
3. Overseeing technical accounting research for complex business transactions and the implementation of new accounting standards.
4. Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring balance sheet activity for accuracy.
5. Ensuring adherence to and communication of accounting, auditing policies, procedures, and internal controls.
6. Liaising with internal and external business partners, including audit and tax partners, finance teams, FP&A, External Reporting, and site stakeholders.
7. Driving continuous improvement initiatives and working on ad hoc projects.
Key Skills & Experience
1. Level 8 Honours Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
2. Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA Certified) with 4+ years of experience.
3. Broad understanding of accounting and financial control principles and practices.
4. Excellent business partnering skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
5. Strong IT, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
