The opportunity
We are seeking a Developer Advocate to serve as the essential link between our engineering teams and the rApp developer community. In this role you will support rApp developers by responding to technical questions, managing community interactions, and ensuring developers' needs are represented within the organization. This position is a natural progression from a Software Engineer role, offering the opportunity to build seniority and deep product expertise through direct engagement with end users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developer Support and Advocacy: Act as the primary technical contact for rApp developers. Provide timely assistance, handle 60 percent of incoming developer queries and issues, triage unresolved problems, and escalate to the appropriate engineering groups according to agreed SLAs. Promote adoption of EIC capabilities, represent developer needs internally, and proactively share knowledge and best practices.
* SDK Review: Review SDKs created by EIC development teams, provide actionable feedback to improve usability and functionality, collaborate on implementations of improvements, and document SDK best practices.
* Feedback and Continuous Improvement (10 percent): Collect feedback from developers and stakeholders through surveys and interviews, analyze feedback to identify improvement opportunities, and partner with development teams to implement changes and ecosystem enhancements informed by industry trends.
* Community Engagement : Manage developer community interactions, support technical clinics and conferences, create micro-learning assets and educational resources, and coordinate closely with the Community Engagement Team to ensure the developer community's voice is heard and acted upon.
Skills And Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong software development background.
* Proficient understanding of SMO, ORAN, and Cloud RAN technologies.
* Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
* Proactive learner who stays current with industry trends and best practices.
* Approachable, collaborative demeanor to build trust within the developer community.
* Experience in community engagement and event organization is a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to grow into senior roles by working directly with rApp developers and addressing their needs.
