Electronic Design Engineer Position
\
Our client is currently seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join their cross-functional engineering team. The engineer will be responsible for supporting all electrical and electronic engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, including design, development, verification and validation.
\
Key Responsibilities:
\
\
* Lead design activities based on input from clinical users, existing technology base and system functional requirements.
\
\
* Research state of the art technologies that relate to the programme scope and identify technical capabilities that can advance and accelerate R&D projects.
\
* Support the team on all matters related to design and manufacturing, working closely with external partners.
\
* Support the development of laboratory and production systems for device performance assessment.
\
* Participate in technical design reviews to ensure electrical design integrity and safety are achieved.
\
* Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
\
\
o Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
\
o At least 3 years of experience in electronic/hardware design.
\
o Experience with analogue and digital circuit design including simulation.
\
o Experience with interfacing of hardware peripherals like sensors, motor drivers, etc.
\
o Experience of regulations for electrical safety and EMC.
\
o Ability to work independently, as a member of a cross-functional R&D team.
\
o Excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
\
o A self-starter who can see and deliver the work required to advance the project with minimal direction.
\
o Master's degree or PhD in a related field.
\
o Experience with Eagle for PCB Design (including simulation) & layout.
\
o Knowledge of microcontroller architectures and serial communication technologies.
\
o Direct experience of IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2.
\
o Knowledge of Labview and Matlab software packages.
\
o Experience working in a regulated medical device environment.
