We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Marketing professional to join Mediolanum as Head of Marketing and Communications.

Reporting to the Head of Product, Marketing and Communications, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a coordinated marketing strategy for Mediolanum Irish Operations to achieve objectives and ensure core messages are consistent and specifically tailored for each target market. A key priority is to strengthen communication efforts to support distributors within captive channels, while developing tailored strategies for non-captive channels that reflect the local and cultural specificities of each market and its intermediaries.

This opportunity will suit an enthusiastic and energetic professional who is entrepreneurial in nature, interested in setting the strategic agenda for the department combined with the desire and ability to develop a robust platform to deliver against a commercially sound, client focused agenda.

Prerequisites for the role also include technical knowledge of investment funds, how they are managed and promoted, sound commercial business acumen, excellent relationship building skills, as well as the ability to manage and develop direct reports. The role requires a flexible, independent, self-starter with the ability to multitask, influence and deliver results in the face of competing demands and according to strict time constraints.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

Marketing Strategy

* Develop and lead the marketing and communications strategy in line with Group guidelines.
* Manage a team of five, covering videography, social media, and digital marketing.
* Develop strategic marketing collaterals and sales support for our existing sales channels.
* Collaborate with HR on internal communications and corporate initiatives (e.g. sustainability, training, recruitment).

Branding

* Define and maintain a strong brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
* Position Mediolanum as a leading cross-border product and service provider in key markets.
* Support brand development in Germany, including local business development and delivery of strategic partnership marketing plans.

PR and Events

* Own and manage relationships with external agencies, partners and media.
* Oversee PR agencies across markets, ensuring alignment with the broader communications strategy.
* Plan and deliver key events, including distributor engagements, public-facing events, and corporate functions.

Digital

* Oversee the company's digital presence across websites, social platforms, and marketing databases.
* Ensure scalability of digital platforms in collaboration with IT and development teams.
* Use marketing intelligence tools and analytics to inform strategy and optimise performance.
* Monitor and report on key metrics such as website traffic, campaign engagement, conversion rates, SEO, and brand awareness.
* Manage marketing budgets and vendor relationships to ensure efficient resource use.

Content

* Work closely with sales, product development, and investment teams to align marketing efforts with business priorities.
* Adapt and enhance product collateral to create engaging content across digital and print formats.
* Drive brand awareness through multi-channel campaigns including web, video, social media, and PR.
* Define and track KPIs, using data-driven insights to refine strategy and improve outcomes.

* Fluent English is a requirement with fluency in one of the following additional European languages (Italian, Spanish or German) a distinct advantage.

Qualifications and Experience:

* A Bachelor's Honours Degree in a related field such as Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Branding.
* 15+ years of relevant work experience in the marketing /communications department of a cross border investment product provider, ideally retail focused.
* The ability to work independently and to distil investment information / concepts into easily digestible formats suitable for a retail target market.
* Proven experience in marketing management, with a focus on strategy development, campaign execution, and team leadership.
* Strong understanding of marketing principles, practices, and techniques across digital and traditional channels.
* A genuine interest in Investment markets coupled with the desire and aptitude to make a difference in connecting the business with underlying investors.
