Role Overview:
Fisheries Manager is responsible for the conservation and management of Ireland's aquatic resources.
* Carry out inspections to check for illegal fishing activities
* Enforce regulations and bye-laws
* Contribute to habitat improvement initiatives
* Develop and improve fisheries access and angling infrastructure
Key Responsibilities Include:
Advise local anglers and other stakeholders on best practices, participate in community engagement and conduct environmental assessments.
Detect and report pollution incidents, inspect commercial licence holders and recreational anglers, apprehend offenders and gather evidence.
