We are seeking an experienced and reliable Mechanic to join our depot team on a permanent basis. This is a mobile role with no fixed base, responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of vehicles and equipment across our depots in Carlow, Wexford, and Wicklow.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicles and depot equipment.
Inspect and service trucks, trailers, forklifts, and related machinery in line with company and manufacturer standards.
Respond to and resolve breakdowns and urgent repairs quickly and effectively, on-site or locally.
Ensure accurate completion of service records and maintenance documentation.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment within depots and workshops.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar mechanical or transport maintenance role.
National Craft Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics (SOLAS) or Advanced Craft Certificate (FETAC Level 6) preferred.
Full Irish Category B licence (essential); Category C or CE licence desirable.
Proven experience working with HGVs, trailers, and material-handling equipment.
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical skills.
Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to work on-call and handle emergency breakdowns.
Eligible to work in Ireland.
Good written and spoken English skills.
