Horizons is seeking highly motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic Staff Nurses to join our teams across Cork, supporting children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. Staff Nurse: The 13‑point salary scale for the post as of 01/02/2026.
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.
Application Criteria:
Possess a relevant third level qualification in Nursing (level 8 degree), and be on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Have up‑to‑date permissions to work and reside in Ireland at time of application.
Have very good interpersonal skills and the flexibility to meet the changing needs of the people Horizons supports – essential requirements.
Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is an advantage.
Have proficient IT skills.
Be flexible and a team player.
A full clean driving licence is desirable.
