Business Development Project Manager
Summary
The Business Development Project Manager will support the CEO in the day-to-day execution and coordination of all business development activities within fast-growing consultancy supporting life sciences industry. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will act as the operational backbone of business development, ensuring that opportunities, proposals, client communications, events, and marketing activities are planned, tracked, and delivered efficiently.
The role requires an understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and how consultancy firms support them in today's business environment and a strong ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines is essential. The CEO will retain ownership of senior client relationships and commercial negotiations, with the Business Development Project Manager managing all supporting activity and communication around these processes.
What You Will Do
BD Project Planning
Support the CEO in planning and coordinating all business development activities
Maintain visibility of the BD pipeline, including leads, opportunities, proposals, and follow-ups
Prepare timelines, action plans, and priorities for BD initiatives
Coordinate internal resources to support proposals and client engagements
Support with monthly reporting preparation.
Support with market and client research.
BD Project Management
Manage end-to-end execution of business development projects.
Act as the central point of coordination between the CEO, internal consultants, and external stakeholders
Track progress against milestones, deadlines, and deliverables
Ensure follow-ups and next steps from client meetings and discussions are executed promptly
BD Project Documentation
Prepare and manage proposal documentation, presentations, and supporting materials
Coordinate pricing inputs and documentation under the direction of the CEO
Maintain accurate records of client communications, proposals, and outcomes
Support the preparation of reports and updates for internal review
Preparation of multi stakeholder presentation decks.
Other Activities: Event Management & Marketing Support
Support planning and execution of conferences, industry events, and client meetings
Coordinate logistics for business development travel and client visits
Manage and update the company's LinkedIn presence, including content scheduling and basic engagement
Support other marketing activities aligned with business development goals
About the Candidate
Skills and Experience
3–5 years' experience in a project management, business development support, or commercial operations role
Previous experience working within the life sciences industry is a strong advantage or please demonstrate on your application how your current experience transfers to this role.
Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working closely with senior leadership and handling confidential information
Confident coordinating communication around client negotiations.
Experience supporting proposals, client communications and sales pipelines is an advantage
Familiarity with LinkedIn and basic digital marketing & social media activities is desirable
Experience with SmartSheets is desirable.
Advanced PowerPoint Skills
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial environment
Renumeration up to €60k depending on experience
