The successful Statutory Accountant will have strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS. Proficiency in MS Office and Excel is essential, as well as a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
We are seeking a team player who can build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
This role will involve working closely with our Global Accounting team to ensure financial statement audits and statutory filings are completed efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in statutory compliance and be able to implement recommendations to enhance financial controls.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, our ideal candidate will be highly organized and have excellent time management skills. Experience in a Shared Service Centre environment would be beneficial, but not essential. NetSuite ERP reporting system experience is also preferred but not necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit statutory financial statements across multiple entities in compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
* Correspond with vendors/employees regarding payment statuses.
* Key point of contact for the completion of statutory audits of EMEA entities.
* Address audit findings and implement recommendations to enhance financial controls.
* Review of completed management accounts package including working papers and FLUX analysis on monthly basis.
* Review balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness monthly.
* Preparing of statutory accounting journals into NetSuite.
* Present monthly data to management and fully understand the accounts to provide clarity.
This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP accounting, including GL journal entries and accruals. A University Graduate or ACA/ACCA qualified individual is preferred. With a 3+ years relevant experience in accounting roles, either in practice or industry-style environments, our ideal candidate will thrive in this challenging yet rewarding role.
