Senior Social Worker – CAMHS (North Dublin)
Our client is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional passionate about supporting young people with mental health challenges in a multidisciplinary setting.
About the Role:
As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in providing specialist mental health support to children, adolescents, and their families. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, risk evaluations, and therapeutic interventions, while working collaboratively with a team of clinicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Social Worker:
* Provide specialist social work interventions for young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
* Conduct psychosocial and risk assessments to guide care planning.
* Support families by offering guidance, crisis intervention, and advocacy.
* Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary CAMHS team to develop and implement treatment plans.
* Liaise with external agencies, including schools, social services, and community organisations.
* Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service development initiatives.
Requirements of the Senior Social Worker:
* A recognised social work qualification and CORU registration.
* A minimum of three years post-qualification experience, with at least one year in a mental health setting.
* Experience working with children, adolescents, and families facing complex mental health challenges.
* Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and therapeutic work.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
