Financial Controller Manufacturing Sector The Opportunity We are recruiting a commercially-minded Financial Controller for a leading specialist manufacturing organisation in the Louth/Monaghan area. As a key member of the senior management team, you will oversee all financial operations and provide strategic insights to drive business growth. Core Responsibilities Financial Leadership: Manage day-to-day finance functions, including AP/AR, payroll, and cash flow. Strategic Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPIs for the board. Funding & Grants: Lead applications for capital grants and employment subsidies (e.g., Enterprise Ireland/IDA). Manage compliance and audit trails for all funding. Tax Strategy: Coordinate R&D tax credit claims and ensure compliance with VAT and RCT. Cost Analysis: Oversee manufacturing cost accounting (labour, materials, overheads) to improve margins. Systems & Controls: Optimise ERP systems and internal controls to enhance data accuracy. Candidate Profile Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA). Experience: 5+ years post-qualification experience, specifically within manufacturing or heavy industry. Funding Expertise: Proven track record in managing grant applications and funding compliance. Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency; strong analytical mindset. Leadership: Ability to collaborate across production, sales, and senior leadership teams.
