A leading manufacturing business in Longford is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to carry out plant maintenance, preventative maintenance, and project work on a range of industrial equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work on varied machinery and plant systems, with regular overtime available. Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime. Support installation and commissioning of new machinery. Work with hydraulics and mechanical automation systems. Maintain high standards of safety and follow established procedures. Collaborate effectively within the maintenance team to achieve production targets. Requirements: Trade qualified fitter with strong mechanical knowledge. Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing or plant environment. Solid understanding of maintenance processes and plant operations. Strong communication, organisational, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High attention to detail with a proactive, self-motivated approach. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology (advantageous). Electrical experience beneficial but not essential. Benefits: Competitive pay rates.
