The Compliance Executive provides assistance and support to the Compliance function, completes reviews and research regarding compliance policies and procedures, and works on ad hoc projects.
The main duties and responsibilities include:
1. Support the Compliance Manager in delivering the Compliance framework
2. Provide regulatory advice to the business and projects
3. Support the Compliance Manager by taking responsibility for delivering projects assigned to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
4. Carry out ongoing monitoring and testing across the firm
5. Identify trends arising from MI and escalate identified regulatory risks
6. Draft regulatory reports and client documentation for internal and external stakeholders
7. Help maintain Compliance policies and other relevant manuals and procedures
8. Coordinate, attend, and support compliance at committees
9. Identify new and emerging legislation and ensure business awareness of requirements
10. Promote a positive compliance culture and awareness through the development of appropriate training for staff
11. Represent CACI for consumers, regulators, and partners at industry events
Duration: 12 months
Minimum level of study: Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Training / Specialization: Educated to degree level or professional qualification (LCOI)
Experience: 3 years’ experience in compliance, preferably in the insurance industry, with expertise in legal, risk management, or compliance
Minimum experience level: 0-2 years
Skills needed:
* Methodical, proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint
* Experience and knowledge of regulatory and commercial aspects of insurance contracts, consumer protection issues, data privacy and security, outsourcing
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise compliance tasks
* Ability to work in a multi-cultural and cross-border context is an advantage
* Flexibility and adaptability
* Studying for or qualified in Association of Compliance Officers Ireland (ACOI)
