We're looking for a capable and reliable Chef to run a busy kitchen and deliver quality, comforting food with consistency and efficiency. This role suits someone who understands the rhythm of a service, can keep standards high even on hectic shifts, and takes pride in producing generous, well-executed dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a full range of classics and seasonal specials to spec.
* Maintain smooth service during peak periods while upholding quality and presentation.
* Manage stock, place orders, control waste, and monitor food costs.
* Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, safety regulations, and allergen procedures.
* Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with EHO expectations.
* Train and support kitchen staff so the team can operate confidently and independently.
* Collaborate on menu updates, specials boards, and cost-effective recipe improvements.
* Handle equipment properly and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a kitchen or fast-paced casual dining environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen organisation, and efficient line management.
* Ability to work proactively during busy periods and maintain consistency.
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required; Level 2 or Level 3 preferred.
