Musici Ireland
is an organisation that unites musicians, dancers, writers, and artists to create original, thought-provoking performances rooted in real human stories. Founded in 2012 as a chamber collective, the organisation has evolved into a pioneering multidisciplinary production house that pushes artistic boundaries and creates deeply resonant new works. Through its artistic collaborations, Musici Ireland has given voice to powerful narratives ranging from responses to the Suffragette movement to explorations of life with chronic and unseen illness. As we look ahead, the organisation is building on these achievements with ambitious plans: securing a bespoke creative and workshop space, expanding its network of funders and supporters, and extending its reach beyond Ireland.
Musici Ireland stands at a pivotal moment of growth and transformation, one that the new Board will be instrumental in supporting, guiding, and celebrating. We are now seeking a full complement of new Board Directors to help shape and steer the organisation's next stage of development.
Key Responsibilities
Board Directors are expected to:
* Provide Strategic Leadership
: Contribute to the development and oversight of Musici Ireland's strategic direction, ensuring alignment with its vision, mission, and core values.
* Uphold Good Governance
: Act in the best interests of the organisation, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with all legal and financial obligations.
* Support Financial Sustainability
: Oversee the organisation's financial health, approve budgets, and support the pursuit of sustainable income streams through fundraising, partnerships, and philanthropy.
* Champion Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
: Promote an inclusive culture within the organisation and ensure that EDI principles are embedded in governance, programming, and community engagement.
* Act as an Ambassador
: Represent Musici Ireland positively and confidently to stakeholders, audiences, funders, and the wider arts community.
* Contribute Specialist Expertise
: Offer insight and professional experience in areas such as finance, philanthropy, marketing and branding, EDI, governance, or the arts.
* Support and Challenge the Executive Team:
Provide guidance, constructive challenge, and encouragement to the Artistic Directors and management team.
* Attend and Participate
: Engage actively in Board meetings, subcommittees, and key organisational events.

Criteria:
Experience in providing strategic leadership and oversight

5-15 years of experience in executive leadership roles
Must be located in the European Union

Professional experience in areas such as finance, philanthropy, marketing and branding, EDI, governance, or the arts
