Payroll Administrator
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will support the accurate and timely end-to-end processing of payroll for Republic of Ireland and UK hotels within the Dalata Hotel Group portfolio.
The role will assist with payroll inputs, validation, and employee queries, ensuring statutory compliance and a high standard of customer service to hotel management and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing Support
Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for Republic of Ireland and UK hotels
Accurately input and validate payroll data including hours worked, leave, new starters, leavers, and pay adjustments
Support payroll runs in line with agreed timetables and internal controls
Compliance & Statutory Requirements
Assist with statutory submissions and reporting to Revenue (Republic of Ireland) and HMRC (UK)
Support accurate processing of statutory payments
Ensure GDPR and other data privacy standards on payroll data are adhered to
Employee & Hotel Support
Respond to payroll queries from authorised hotel personnel in a timely and professional manner
Support resolution of payroll discrepancies, escalating issues where appropriate
Build effective working relationships with hotel management teams across Republic of Ireland and the UK
Payroll Administration & Reporting
Maintain accurate payroll records
Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting as required
Support audits and internal payroll reviews
Continuous Improvement
Assist in identifying process improvements and efficiencies within payroll operations
Support system upgrades, testing, and data validation activities when required
Key Skills & Competencies
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong numerical and administrative skills
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll or finance administrator role
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Desirable
IPASS Payroll Technician qualification (or working towards)
Exposure to both Republic of Ireland and UK payroll processing
Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or shared services environment
Experience working with Payroll Software
