We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead, scale, and mature our engineering organisation as we expand our AI enabled cyber security SaaS platform. Operating within a high growth (£100m ARR) IT channel business, and secure multitenant architectures with strong leadership and operational excellence.
You will partner closely with Product, Security, Operations and Customer facing teams to ensure engineering execution directly supports customer outcomes, platform resilience, and commercial growth. This role requires a leader who embraces automation, AI-assisted development and secure-by-design engineering practices.
Your Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
Lead and develop multiple engineering squads, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, inclusion and continuous learning.
Own hiring, onboarding, development frameworks, and succession planning to build diverse resilient teams.
Create clarity through expectations, shared ownership and outcome‑focused metrics.
Champion AI‑powered engineering workflows to free your teams to do the best work of their career.
Own execution of roadmap initiatives across our multitenant cyber security SaaS platform, ensuring predictable delivery with measurable outcomes.
Collaborate with Product to prioritise work, define scope, manage tradeoffs, and build clear OKRs that link to customer value, platform adoption and ARR contribution.
Embed engineering excellence: secure coding, code quality, architectural consistency, threat modelling and automated testing.
Drive adoption of automation and AI across CI/CD, QA, operational workflows, and customer diagnostics.
Guide Architecture & Technical Direction
Guide architecture across .NET and Go microservices including API design, data boundaries, tenancy isolation and internal service contracts.
Oversee secure‑by‑design principles across every stage of the SDLC, ensuring our platform meets modern cyber security expectations for IT channel partners.
Support escalations for complex production issues, partnering with Security, SRE, and Customer Ops to ensure fast customercentric resolution.
Operational Excellence
Lead operational maturity improvements including service reliability, incident response, on call processes and blameless post mortems.
Drive adoption of deep observability: metrics, logs, traces, security telemetry, and cost optimisation.
Ensure compliance with enterprise cyber security requirements, data protection standards and channel specific governance frameworks.
Implement automated runtime security controls, threat detection, behavioural monitoring and platform hardening.
Cross Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, UX, Security, Customer Success, and Sales to deliver meaningful customer outcomes.
Translate commercial and customer needs into actionable technical strategy and resourcing plans.
Communicate technical updates and risks clearly and concisely to executives, channel partners and nontechnical stakeholders.

What You Bring
5+ years’ engineering leadership experience with a track record of leading managers or multiple squads in a SaaS environment
Experience delivering secure cloud platforms at scale within cyber security or adjacent regulated sectors
Strong command of Agile and cross‑functional delivery
A history of aligning Product, Security, Operations, and Engineering around shared goals
Excellent communication, systems thinking, and organisational leadership
