They offer the chance to work on large-scale digital transformation programmes where delivery quality, client impact and technical excellence really matter.I'm looking for a Senior Software Delivery Manager who enjoys leading software programmes, delivering multiple complex projects, working closely with clients, and leading delivery across hybrid teams.The ideal person will have delivered software programmes/projects at scale, worked with cross-functional teams, and will excel at managing delivery across multiple workstreams. You will be client-facing, so strong stakeholder management and the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders will be important. Depending on the client/programme, the role will involve managing teams of around 30 people across multiple projects, including internal delivery teams and, in some cases, client-side resources.This position would suit someone who brings a strong mix of three key areas:Project managementA technical background or strong understanding of software engineeringAgile delivery, with the flexibility to use waterfall approaches where neededYou will be involved in:Managing delivery teams across agile and hybrid environmentsWorking closely with clients and senior stakeholdersOverseeing governance, reporting, risks, budgets and resourcingSupporting delivery quality and continuous improvementCollaborating with technical teams to ensure solutions are delivered effectivelyHelping teams stay focused, organised and moving in the right directionThe ideal background:At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or programme management capacity15+ years of experience in software delivery or programme deliveryExperience managing large-scale technology projectsA good understanding of modern software engineering practicesAgile delivery experience, with a pragmatic approach to methodologyStrong project management and stakeholder management skillsExperience managing hybrid or multi-disciplinary teamsConsulting or management consultancy experience would be a strong advantageProduct delivery experience would also be very relevantThis position is ideal for someone who enjoys being directly involved in delivery, engaging with clients, and understanding the technology behind the work.
