About the Role:
Avondale Landscapes are delivering a major tree planting project across Dublin. We require a Tree Planting & Maintenance Coordinator with horticulture experience (not essential - training will be provided).
The role is to manage the logistics during planting and follow-up care in the months afterwards. While primarily focused on this project, you may also be tasked to support other landscaping works as required. You will have full support from our office/backroom team to ensure smooth operations.
The role is split
* Planting Phase:
* Drive to the designated location
* Mark the tree position
* Assist the planting crew to install the tree
* Coordinator logs the planted tree on an Android Tablet (online document system – training provided)
* Return to our depot in Co. Wicklow and help prepare trees for the next day
* Maintenance Phase:
* Drive to tree locations
* Monitor tree health and record findings
* Carry out watering and basic maintenance
* You will also be required to assist other landscaping crews on other commercial landscaping projects
* Key Responsibilities:
* Efficiently navigate between locations using Google Maps
* Liaise with Project Managers and our client representative
* Mark and log tree positions accurately on Android Tablet
* Coordinate closely with planting crews to stay ahead of works
* Monitor, water, and maintain trees after planting
* Support other landscaping projects when required
* Report issues with tree health or site conditions
* Provide basic leadership support by coordinating with teams
* Work closely with the backroom team for scheduling, mapping, and reporting
Requirements:
* Excellent Google Maps/navigation skills (essential)
* Clean, full driving licence (essential)
* Comfortable using an Android Tablet/online system (training provided)
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Able to work outdoors in all weather
* Previous landscaping, logistics, or leadership experience an advantage
