A Tier One Building Contractor has a new opportunity for an Estimator to join the Pre-Construction Team. As Estimator, you will play a vital role in pre-construction estimating, working closely with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure competitive and high-quality tender submissions, helping secure profitable new projects in alignment with our business strategy. Preparing and reviewing tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness Engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to negotiate best-value pricing Lead the estimating process from project inception to final submission Develop cost plans and analyse contract budgets Support the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials and subcontractor services Collaborate with Senior Management and provide strategic input into bids and proposals Manage estimating elements across multiple projects at various stages Assist in training and mentoring junior estimators and graduates Ideally the Building Estimator will possess the following: Strong experience in estimating large-scale building projects Expertise in Frameworks and negotiated contracts Ability to price from first principles and prepare detailed cost plans Excellent knowledge of construction technology and engineering designs Proficiency in Conquest Estimating System and On-Screen Take-Off Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills Degree or HND in a relevant field is desirable however not essential A market leading salary & remuneration package will be tailored to attract the most suitable person on the market.
