We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at tn-ireland. As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a vital role in leading our nursing team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
* You will assist with the management of clinical operations, including the development of care plans and the monitoring of nursing staff.
* Preparing daily schedules and planning shifts is also a key responsibility.
* Ensuring that nursing staff adhere to departmental procedures and policies is crucial to maintaining a safe and effective environment for patients.
* Assisting in the preparation of budgets and managing expenses is also an important aspect of this role.
* Conducting regular patient rounds and addressing any complaints or concerns is essential for delivering exceptional patient care.
* Evaluating the performance of the department and making recommendations for improvement is a key part of this role.
* Scheduling staff meetings to discuss patient updates, issues, and recommendations is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
* You must have not less than 3 years' experience of nursing older persons in the last 6 years.
* A minimum of 7 years post-registration experience is required.
* You should have in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and regulatory inspection activity as they pertain to residential care centres.
* A third-level qualification in management is necessary.
* You must be able to manage your own workload effectively while responding flexibly to new demands at short notice.
* Embracing change and being committed to continuous improvement and learning throughout the residential care home is essential.
* You should be able to influence others, build constructive relationships, and achieve outcomes.
* Promoting an ethos and culture of quality assurance within the clinical area, identifying and establishing benchmarks and KPIs in consultation with the Director of Nursing is also important.
* You must be a Registered General Nurse.
* You should be available to work flexible hours when required.
