This is a hands-on role working alongside experienced technicians across commercial sites (offices, retail, hospitality, healthcare, industrial). You'll learn the trade through structured on-the-job training and apprenticeship training phases.What you'll be doingAssisting qualified engineers/technicians with commercial HVAC maintenance (PPM) and reactive calloutsSupporting installations and small works (mounting units, containment, pipework support, insulation, general fit-out tasks)Helping with basic checks and recording readings (temperatures, airflow observations, visual inspections, etc.) under supervisionLearning safe working practices in plant rooms, rooftops, ceiling voids, and live commercial environmentsMaintaining tools, keeping the van/site organised, and ensuring high standards of housekeepingCommunicating professionally with clients on-site and representing the company wellSystems you'll get exposure toVRF/VRV and split systemsRooftop packaged unitsAHUs / FCUs and ventilation-related equipmentControls and basic BMS interaction (depending on site)What we're looking for (essential)A strong interest in building a long-term career in commercial air conditioning / HVAC/RPractical/mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnReliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a teamComfortable working at heights and in confined areas (with proper safety controls)Eligible to work in IrelandFull clean driving licence (preferred) or working toward itTickets/certificationsSafe Pass (required for many sites) — must already have, or be willing to obtain quicklyManual Handling — desirable (we can support training)Any F-Gas-related awareness/certification is a plus (depending on apprenticeship stage and role scope)What we offerFormal apprenticeship pathway with mentoring and real commercial site experienceCompetitive apprentice pay rates + overtime opportunities (where applicable)Training support (Safe Pass / Manual Handling / site-specific tickets as required)PPE, tools, and continuous developmentFriendly team environment with clear progression opportunitiesJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company pensionWork Location: On the road
