PFH Technology Group are looking to hire a Chief Technology Officer to join our team.
Role Overview
The CTO is a high-impact executive role designed to harmonise technical innovation with commercial velocity. You will lead the "Front-End" of PFH’s technology engine, transforming complex technical capabilities into tangible business outcomes for Enterprise and Public Sector clients.
As the primary technical figurehead for the commercial organisation, you will lead the CTO Office, overseeing Pre-Sales Architecture and our portfolio of solutions and services, to ensure PFH remains the partner of choice in a competitive ICT landscape.

Key Responsibilities
Primary Strategic Pillars
Executive Customer Advisory & Value Realisation

Outcome-Based Consulting: Move beyond "speeds and feeds" to lead high-level workshops that align PFH’s portfolio with client business technology investments.
Strategic Bid Influence: Provide executive oversight for bids and RFPs, ensuring our value proposition is differentiated, defensible, and aligned with Ricoh’s global strengths.
Visionary Leadership: Serve as the "Voice of Technology" at the C‑Suite table (CEO/CSO/CFO), translating emerging trends into actionable roadmaps and business growth initiatives.

Leadership of the CTO Office

Pre-Sales Excellence: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of Solution Architects and Technical Specialists, fostering a culture of "Consultative Selling.
Design Governance: Implement rigorous technical qualification and peer‑review processes to ensure proposed solutions are deliverable, scalable, and profitable.
Interlock: Act as the critical link between Sales (identifying need) and Service Delivery (ensuring feasibility), reducing "sales‑to‑service" friction.
Market Sensing: Identify "Next‑Gen" technologies and evaluate their commercial viability within the Irish and European markets.
Modern Infrastructure: Drive the evolution of the entire PFH portfolio of solutions and services.
Vendor Ecosystem: Navigate the complex alliances with AWS, Dell, Fortinet, HPE/HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, PAN, VMware/Broadcom, ensuring PFH maintains "Top‑Tier" status and early access to roadmaps.

Thought Leadership & Brand Advocacy

Trusted Advisor: Develop and maintain a strong relationship as a trusted advisor with strategic customers c‑suite and leaders.
Market Presence: Presenter/speaker/panellist at industry events.
Content Strategy: Partner with Marketing to produce high‑value whitepapers and executive briefs that position PFH as a thought leader in the Ricoh Group ecosystem.
Technical Authoring: Take a lead role in writing and structuring complex tender responses (RFI/RFP), ensuring our technical solution is both innovative and compliant.
Content Creation: Develop high‑impact PowerPoint presentations and technical whitepapers that simplify complex architectures into compelling business cases.
Solution Design: Act as the Lead Architect for "Must‑Win" accounts, designing end‑to‑end solutions across Cloud, Security, and Managed Services.
Financial Modelling: Build the commercial logic behind technical designs, articulating ROI, TCO, and risk mitigation to client stakeholders.

Candidate Profile
Technical & Commercial Synthesis You don't just know how a stack works; you know how much it costs, the ROI it yields, and the risks of not implementing it. You possess a rare ability to pivot from a deep technical dive with an engineer to a financial justification meeting with a CFO.
Experience & Qualifications

Proven Pedigree: 10+ years in senior technical leadership within a Systems Integrator (SI), VAR, or Tier‑1 vendor.
Deal Mastery: A track record of architecting and closing multi‑million euro deals in both Public and Private sectors.
Strategic Education: Degree in Engineering/Computer Science; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is highly desirable.
Elite Recognition: Active or recent status in elite vendor programs (e.g., Microsoft MVP, VMware vExpert, Cisco Champions, or AWS Heroes) is a significant advantage.
Commercial Acumen: Mastery of P&L impact, Gross Margin optimisation in services, and complex contract structuring.
Influence: Ability to navigate a matrixed global organisation (Ricoh) while maintaining the agility of a local market leader (PFH).
Coaching: A passion for developing the next generation of technical talent.
