Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate has a vacancy for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join its Accounts Department. This role is suitable for an ambitious candidate seeking exposure in a fast-paced finance team. The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller.
This role is office-based and full-time, 40 hours per week.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Accounting Technician desirable
* Experience in a fast-paced office environment essential
* Knowledge and experience with accounting software
* Good IT skills, especially MS Excel
* Efficient work methods, ability to work independently and as part of a team, capable of multitasking
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
* Assist the Financial Controller in preparing and analyzing monthly results, including involvement with budgets and forecasts
Payroll
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll, complying with legislative requirements
* Complete ROS returns, CSO forms, and Social Welfare forms as needed
* Produce weekly payroll reports and Actual vs. Forecast reports
Accounts Payable
* Process and verify supplier invoices via Procure Wizard
* Maintain Creditors Ledger and perform monthly reconciliations
* Handle supplier queries and manage payments
Stock Takes
* Manage monthly stock takes and calculations
Reports
* Provide daily and weekly revenue reports to the General Manager
* Produce weekly and monthly forecasts
General
* Attend hotel and group meetings, ensuring effective communication
* Perform ad-hoc projects as requested
* Ensure timely completion of finance duties and follow-up on queries
* Strive to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness
* Create a positive environment that promotes morale and pride
* Cover departmental holidays as needed
