We are seeking an organized individual/s who are confident in dealing with patient queries both on the phone and in person in a polite, courteous, and efficient manner. Previous experience working in public facing roles would be an advantage.
Please note: This role requires flexibility, including the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to provide holiday cover and adjust working days when needed.
Primary duties:
Reception: Greet visitors, handle calls, schedule appointments, and manage emails.
Office: Perform admin tasks, manage records, handle mail, and stock supplies.
Financial: Manage billing, payments, claims, and cash reconciliation.
Clinical: Prepare patients, perform basic checks, assist GP with procedures, and maintain
records.
Selection Criteria
Essential
● Working knowledge of Windows-based software systems (e.g. Word and Excel)
● Strong computer literacy
● Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
● Adaptable, enthusiastic, and flexible.
Desirable
● Previous experience in a busy medical reception or similar administrative position
● Previous experience with practice management software (Socrates)
● An understanding of the GMS system
● An understanding of medical terminology, medical and health professional organisations and relevant stakeholders.
Salary and hours: Based on experience and negotiable (Starting 15 eur/hour).
