Your Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a significant role in a POMS MES project associated with a major NNIT client. You will provide consultation and advisory services in relation to the standardisation of the POMS MES application across a number of sites in multiple countries. The project will focus on developing a road map for the standardisation of the MES system and working with site technology leaders to implement standard protocols and roll them out across the sites. You will monitor roll out activity, compliance and performance and adjust accordingly where required and where site requirements demand this.
Your Qualifications And Experience
Candidates must have a B.Sc. degree in Engineering or equivalent, with emphasis in software development, electrical, electronic or automation discipline, with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in industry. This experience must be within a pharmaceutical, MedTech, biotechnology, blue chip GMP manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Skills
* Significant MES consulting experience within a pharmaceutical, MedTech, biotechnology, blue chip GMP manufacturing environment.
* Only candidates who are POMS MES subject matter experts can be considered – candidates who are subject matter experts in MES applications but who do not have POMS MES experience cannot be considered.
* Strong exposure to associated MES technologies, including automated data collection, historian applications (SQL /Oracle / OSI PI), visualization, quality and efficiency in manufacturing.
* Strong and verifiable MBR design experience is essential.
* Experience in the delivery of complex smart factory solutions.
* Strong technical ability on a variety of identified platforms and systems.
* Proven influencing ability on various technical platforms, demonstrating adaptability to pick up new technologies as needed for specific clients or projects.
* An understanding of a variety of automation systems, programming languages etc. (distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, SCADA systems, CSV validation and quality techniques etc.).
* C# coding and SQL and database experience is essential.
Desirable Skills
* Demonstrated proven / certified SME capability in PLC logic and programming with one or more of the following PLC’s programming languages or SCADA systems specific expertise.

* Siemens
* Experience in one or more of the following areas is also highly advantageous: Wonderware, OT Architecture, OPC Kepware.
* Strong capabilities in S95 level 1,2 and level 3 systems and their integration.
* Strong working knowledge of OLE for process control.
* Creation / loading of level 2 recipes.
* Strong PL/SQL programming experience in software development with Microsoft Visual Studio / development tools; knowledge of web services, ASP and .net technologies.
Fluency in oral and written English is a must. A second language (Danish, German, French) is beneficial not essential.
Travel must be expected. Travel to sites in Ireland and Italy will be required and regular but travel to other countries may also be required. Expected travel – circa 25%.
