Job Title: Pastry Chef
Join our team at Choice Hotel Group as a Pastry Chef in Galway. We are seeking a skilled and creative individual passionate about baking and dessert artistry, with experience in producing high-quality pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts in a busy hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present a wide variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts to high standards.
* Develop and innovate dessert recipes, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current trends.
* Manage daily operations of the pastry section, including inventory control and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service and menu consistency.
* Train and supervise junior pastry staff as needed.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Requirements:
* Relevant culinary qualifications and at least 2 years' experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in fine dining or hotel settings.
* Strong technical skills in pastry preparation, decoration, and finishing.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a team.
* Commitment to high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Eligible to work in Ireland.
