The Facility Operator role at our organization is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment, and water injection.
This position involves actively assisting with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs, and environmental protection. The Operator will maintain constant contact with customers and demonstrate excellent communication skills and a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility
* Truck unloading, oil emulsion, and water & vac trucks management
* Oil treating with the treater, cooler, or tank treating
* Participating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker & centrifuge operations, and solids treating
* Receiving, terminal storage, and transportation of crude oil while adhering to Measurement & Crude Oil Quality compliance
* Managing ongoing water injection, filter changing, and pump maintenance
* Treatment of solids on the waste pad
* Boiler operations, testing, and steam system operations
* Ensuring corporate compliance programs are adhered to
* Submitting truck tickets summary, daily plant checklists, and balance and transfers to the office
* Participating in the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
Requirements:
* A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma, or equivalent
* A minimum of 3 years operational experience in waste processing and oil treating or water injection
* Midstream terminal operations experience is considered a strong asset
* Specialty training in boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge, and loader is considered an asset
* Proven ability to demonstrate strong methods regarding all processes in the plant, including safety operations, oil treating & blending, waste processing, and water disposal
* Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHIMS, and TDG
* A strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
* Ability to document work, perform cross-shift communication, and ensure strategic communication with multiple stakeholders
* Excellent decision-making skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
* Excellent customer service skills and safe work practices
* A valid and acceptable Driver's license and successful completion of Pre-employment testing
