Our client based in the Cahir area of Tipperary are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team. Main responsibilities are to support the financial controller with daily accounting duties in General Ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Duties: To support and ensure reconciliations are properly prepared and that all reconciling items are cleared within the agreed timescales and to provide any necessary analysis. Ensure appropriate documented files are maintained and filed for later review by Auditors. Focus on both AP and AR. You will work closely with the Financial Controller and will have primary responsibility for payables and receivables as well as banking. Assisting with weekly, monthly and year-end financial reporting Revenue reporting VAT, RCT, Vies, Intrastat. Assisting with ad hoc finance queries Key Requirements 1 to 2 year's experience in a similar role. PQ Accountant (IATI, ACCA, CIMA / Graduate) Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerised accounting and spreadsheet programs High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently or as a team member Full training will be provided.
