This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering consultancy and become part of a dynamic team that delivers innovative solutions for civil and structural engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. As a Civil Technician, you will develop your technical skills, management abilities, and commercial acumen, working on a variety of projects across the country.
2. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality civil infrastructure drawings and details for site development, roads, transportation, public health infrastructure, and other related projects.
3. Deliver project drawings to the required technical standards in a timely manner, reporting to the project manager and ensuring seamless collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
4. Oversee and check standards on project drawings by junior technicians, providing guidance and support to help them grow professionally.
5. Produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D model designs in Autodesk Civil 3D, utilizing your expertise to drive project success.
6. Carry out site inspections and attend Design Team meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
7. Work in accordance with our company's ISO procedures, maintaining a high level of quality and adhering to industry standards.
8. Prepare risk assessments, health & safety plans, and other essential documents, demonstrating your ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
9. Communicate effectively with colleagues, team members, contractors, and clients, building strong relationships and delivering results-oriented solutions.
10. Work efficiently within budget constraints, tracking extra services and ensuring transparency in financial planning and management.
11. Develop the skills of staff that report to you through mentoring, delegation, and training, fostering a culture of growth and development within the organization.
12. Maintain a high quality of output, exceeding expectations and driving excellence in all aspects of your work.

Requirements:

* A Higher Certificate (NFQ Level 6) in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD 2D & AutoDesk Civil 3D are essential for this role.
* Leadership skills to plan, manage, and direct resources required to solve complex problems in multidisciplinary teams.
* A high level of commercial understanding and application, with a proven track record of managing budgets and resources effectively.
* Strong communication skills both orally and in writing, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
* An appreciation of the full Project Delivery Process, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations.
* A positive, proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios and priorities.
* A commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD), staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
