Utilities Lead Technician Location: Dublin 15 Salary: €70,000 + 10% Bonus + Excellent Benefits Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite Hours: 39 Hours per Week (07:30 16:00) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Utilities Lead Technician to join a high-performing onsite utilities team at a major regulated manufacturing facility (pharma) in Dublin 15. This is a critical technical leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of site black utility systems supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining uninterrupted utility supply, protecting production continuity and ensuring compliance with GMP and engineering standards. Key Responsibilities Utilities Operations Ensure reliable operation of critical black utility systems including: oSteam oCondensate oChilled Water oCooling Water oCompressed Air oHVAC support systems *Monitor utility performance and escalate operational risks *Lead troubleshooting and technical fault resolution activities *Support commissioning and site project activities Maintenance & Reliability *Lead reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime *Support development and optimisation of preventative maintenance plans *Ensure maintenance activities comply with GMP and engineering best practice *Identify and manage critical spare parts requirements Team Leadership *Coordinate and direct Utilities Technicians on daily operational activities *Work closely with site management and engineering teams *Lead shift handovers and drive closure of operational actions Continuous Improvement & Compliance *Support initiatives to improve reliability, energy efficiency and system performance *Ensure all work is completed in line with GMP, change control and site procedures *Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance activities Requirements Recognised Trade Qualification in one of the following: oMechanical oElectrical oMarine oRefrigeration / HVAC *Strong experience working with industrial utility systems *Previous experience within pharmaceutical, biopharma or regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable *Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and system schematics *Strong fault-finding and root cause analysis skills *Leadership capability with strong decision-making skills *Good understanding of GMP and risk-based maintenance principles Package Includes *Salary circa €70,000 *10% Annual Bonus *Full Healthcare Cover *Pension Scheme *Education Assistance *Long-term career progression opportunities within a leading international organisation If you are an experienced utilities professional looking to join a highly regulated and technically advanced manufacturing environment, we would love to hear from you.
