Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for increasing the sales of the ARO portfolio through all assigned Channel Partners and Direct Key accounts (OEM, EPCs, and System Integrators) and for delivering profitable growth for the ARO Business. The ASM will use selling skills (sales strategy, channel management) to ensure focus market segments are targeted and that sales of all ARO products are maximized.
Responsibilities
* Sell and promote ARO products, spares, and aftermarket services in the assigned area
* Manage existing sales channels within the region to establish sales targets, submit performance reviews, monthly sales reports, develop regional sales strategies and supervise corrective action measures
* Tactically execute strategic plans to grow annual sales to meet company goals while proactively promoting and supporting all sales activities within the region
* Establish annual sales growth targets for Channel Distributors and direct accounts in cooperation with the Sales Leader
* Provide technical product training & sales tools as required for all channel partners
* Assign end-user visit objectives to Channel Partners to support their efforts in growing sales in the region
* Conduct sales calls with channel partners
* Provide forecast on a regular basis and meet agreed sales objectives for the region
* Increase Sales Funnel and maintain its accuracy in Salesforce
* Evaluate and suggest new business opportunities for sales growth in the assigned region
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree
* 5+ years in selling pumps and/or in similar industrial process equipment
Profile
* 5+ years of proven experience in sales with technical products to distributors and to end users
* Relationship builders, based on credibility, integrity and knowledge
* Demonstrated proven track record including sales to end-users through various channel partners
* Attitude and inclination to be well planned; working from defined tactical goals and objectives supporting the strategic plans
* Results oriented; able to present value proposition and close orders
* Professional appearance, actions and communications
* Strong oral and written communications skills. Comfortable delivering public presentations
* Proficient in computer skills; Microsoft Office, CRM, ERP systems
* Willingness to travel at least 60% of working time
* Fluent in English; another foreign language is a plus
