As an Category Executive, you'll support day to day commercial activity through data, administration, and hands on involvement in planning ranging, pricing, and promotional initiatives. You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and UK counterparts, and spend time visiting, and working in, our 16 stores across Ireland, gaining valuable insight into store operations and customer needs. With structured training, ongoing support, and real exposure to commercial decision making, this is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark and be part of our exciting growth journey.Role overview:As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:Supporting the Category Manager in delivering sales and margin targets across the category.Assisting in the creation, maintenance, and execution of promotional plans and channel activations.Producing daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to support category performance, including sales, margin, stock, channel performance, and supplier presentations.Monitoring competitor activity and market trends, turning insights into clear, actionable recommendations.Using internal tools to implement pricing strategies and ensure ongoing market competitiveness.Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Corporate, Store, Online, and UK teams, as well as external supplier partners.Visiting and working in our 16 stores to fully understand our customers' needs first hand and ensure best practice for our commercial offering.You will need:Proven experience in a buying, category management, or supplier management role within an FMCG, retail, or corporate environment.Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of financial performance and margin management.Highly organised with excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage and interpret data effectively.Confident IT user with the ability to learn new systems quickly; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience building effective relationships and managing stakeholders at all levels.Full, valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required.We know our people are the secret to our success.
