About the role
Tesco Ireland seeks a Shop Floor Manager who will support and lead a team of colleagues to deliver the best “home” shopping experience for customers. The role reports to the Deputy Manager and strives to serve Ireland’s shoppers a little better every day.
Responsibilities
Create an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers
Take responsibility for the store when the Store Manager or Deputy Manager are absent
Ensure the team is fully trained and validated
Promote two‑way communication and a culture of trust
Coaching and managing colleagues to deliver daily priorities and ensure availability to meet customer needs
Review reports and systems to identify improvements for customers and staff
Drive a zero‑food‑waste culture, manage date codes and prevent spoilage of food suitable for consumption
Recruit and select passionate colleagues for the team
Understand cleaning specifications and lead by example to deliver the plan
Manage stock control activities, warehouse layout and processes for efficient routines
Root cause incorrect pricing, overcharges, refunds and label errors to guarantee correct pricing at all times
Recognise excellent service and provide constructive feedback for improvement
Requirements
Passionate about delivering the best experience for customers and colleagues
Adaptable and agile in thinking
Capable of delivering key objectives in a fast‑paced environment
Serve as the “go to” person for all department queries
Influence at the senior level
Previous retail experience in a similar role preferred
