Quantity Surveyor Job Opening
We are seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to contribute to the success of our commercial team in Cork, Ireland.
* The ideal candidate will have expertise in ensuring timely project delivery, adherence to budget, and exceptional quality standards.
Your primary responsibilities include:
1. Regular review and update of risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets as part of monthly reports.
2. Compilation and analysis of Cost Reports and review of project cost reports.
3. Coordinating subcontractor procurement and account reviews during projects.
4. Daily liaison with the accounts department.
5. Review of supplier requisitions and accounts for accuracy and completeness.
6. Verification of subcontractor documents and maintenance of updated templates, including appointment documents and payment certificates.
7. Negotiation and agreement of budgets and costs for variations to project scope.
8. Verification of project costs and resolution of discrepancies where necessary.
9. Management of commercial and contractual relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
10. Assessment and processing of subcontractor payments.
11. Reconciliation of cost and value to date/forecast to inform management team decisions on project performance.
Requirements:
* R1levant third-level BSc in Quantity Surveying.
* At least three years of experience as a quantity surveyor, preferably with a main contractor (ideally Residential, RC Frame, Retail/Commercial, Pharma, Public works).
* Proficiency in MS Office packages and database software.
* Experience with Cost-X software is an advantage.
* Able to work effectively within a team and collaborate with others.
* In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.
