EHS Specialist – Office & Safe Fleet Support for 3 Offices
Location: Liffy Valley, Dublin (Will require travel to Airton Road and occasional travel to Westport, Mayo)

Roles and Responsibilities
Supports the design, implementation, maintenance, and review of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and industry requirements, acts as an SME and advisor to all teams on site in relation to EHS matters with corporate EHS Software Management systems and data management, supporting three office and safe fleet teams inclusive of travel.
General Scope of Responsibilities
Chairs and leads bi-monthly meetings with the sites EHS Team ensuring compliance with the relevant standards is met as well as key deliverables.
Manage and support the fleet management teams on site.
Emergency Response Planning for the site inclusive of training teams based on risk profile for the site.
Manages the Contractors Management and the Permit to Work Process for the site.
Provide monthly/quarterly Metrics reports for the site and ensure on time submission of reports to Corporate EHS.
Creates and delivers presentations for the EHS Management Reviews.
Provide and develop Chemical Awareness, Manual Handling and EHS Induction Training, Contractor Management, Permit to Work and other Safety Training as required.
Perform biannual walkdowns / audits / program reviews to ensure compliance with the Office and Fleet Standard and regulatory requirements.
Provide support for Good Saves, Incident & accident investigations and close out of CAPA’s in CURVE.
Knowledge of waste management and chemicals desirable.
Full clean driving license required for intercompany travel.

How to Succeed
The successful candidate will have strong EHS general/technical knowledge and experience in the MedTech industry or equivalent, be a strong effective communicator with all stakeholders. She/he will be a strong collaborator with a proven track and a strong networker able to leverage EHS expertise on and off site. They will also have:
Previous experience working with international and corporate standards, preferably, within a MedTech/Pharma or related environment is required.
A relevant third level qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS, with at least 5 years’ experience in the environment, health, and safety area, ideally in the MedTech or Pharma industry.
Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in Environment, Health, and Safety.
Good written and communication skills.
Good computer skills with the ability to create dashboards, work in Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to track and trend KPI’s, assembling information into clearly written reports, documented findings or recommendations and communicate this progress in an easily understandable manner to all stakeholders.
Knowledge of Safety Management Systems and practices.
Experience in EHS and Safety initiatives.
Full clean driving license required for intercompany travel.

This is a fully on-site position, based in Liffy Valley, Dublin. Travel to other locations such as Airton Road (maybe a couple of times a month) and occasionally Westport, Mayo (maybe once or twice a quarter) will be required. This is a contract position for 12 months.
