Job Summary:
This position will be setting up, adjusting, and operating the Plasma Machine to cut raw materials steel plates, structural, misc. metal, etc. as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate welding, cutting, and fabrication skills.
* Using a variety of CNC equipment and procedures.
* Take and read measurements to plan the layout and procedures of many different types of projects.
* Read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings.
* Assess the process or actions needed for the job.
* Work with co-workers to complete the project in a safe and timely manner.
* Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
* Practice safe usage of cutting torches, plasma cutters, and grinding equipment.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
* Display knowledge and experience in manufacturing methods and techniques.
* Able to identify and troubleshoot problems in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate Skills:
Minimum of 3 years on the job experience in a fabrication manufacturing environment.
Related experience in a CNC environment a plus.
Good analytical and mathematical skills to interpret and read technical drawings.
Ability to read and use a variety of measuring tools.
Strong Attention to detail.
Ability to work on own initiative.
